Hudson's Bay Company komt definitief naar Amstelveen

Hudson's Bay Company kondigt nieuwe langlopende huurovereenkomsten aan voor bijna 30.600 m² in Amstelveen en Almere. Tot dusver lange termijn huurovereenkomsten aangekondigd voor 13 locaties van in totaal bijna 172.400 m² - meldt Citigate First Financial.

TORONTO en AMSTERDAM, - Hudson’s Bay Company (“HBC” of “de onderneming”) (TSX: HBC) is verheugd aan te kondigen, dat ze nieuwe huurovereenkomsten voor twee locaties in Nederland hebben getekend, dit in aanvulling op de eerder aangekondigde elf locaties. In totaal beslaan de contracten 172.400 m² en bestaan ze uit 12 Hudson’s Bay winkels en een Saks OFF 5TH winkel. Zoals HBC eerder bekendmaakte, is de onderneming voornemens de Nederlandse markt te betreden en er de komende twee jaar tot 20 nieuwe warenhuizen te openen. HBC zal bij deze uitbreiding naar de Nederlandse markt gebruik maken van haar bestaande Europese infrastructuur en twee nieuwe winkelformules introduceren.

De vandaag aangekondigde Hudson’s Bay worden naar verwachting geopend op de volgende locaties:

Amstelveen, Buitenplein 101. Het ‘Stadshart’ in Amstelveen, dat meerdere malen verkozen is tot het beste winkelcentrum van Nederland, heet de Hudson’s Bay van 20,600 m² van harte welkom aan de oostkant van het winkelcentrum. Hudson’s Bay en a.s.r. gaan het bestaande gebouw, in nauwe samenwerking met de gemeente Amstelveen en andere belangengroepen volledig aanpassen.

Almere, Citadel 16. Hudson’s Bay komt in Citymall Almere, een winkelcentrum ontworpen door de bekende Nederlandse architect Rem Koolhaas. Het winkelcentrum staat in het hart van het stadscentrum en is een populaire regionale winkelbestemming. Hudson’s Bay zal naast de voormalige V&D locatie ook nog andere delen op de eerste en tweede verdieping beslaan. De winkel wordt groter dan 10.000 m², krijgt directe toegang tot de twee grootste parkeergarages en sluit, als enige warenhuis in Flevoland, perfect aan op de mix van internationale merken en lokale winkeliers in het winkelcentrum.
