Het Japan Festival van 2023 komt eraan!

Op zondag 25 juni 2023 is het weer zover! De 9de editie van het Japan Festival komt eraan, waar anders dan op het Stadsplein in Amstelveen. Met vorig jaar een recordaantal van ongeveer 20.000 bezoekers is het Japan Festival één van de grootste en best bezochte Japanse evenementen in Nederland.

Het thema van de 9de editie van het Japan Festival is Smile Together = Samen glimlachen
Het is dé gelegenheid om te genieten van Japanse specialiteiten en workshops voor jong en oud, daarnaast zijn er gedurende het hele festival moderne en traditionele optredens op het openluchtpodium.

Glimlach voor en met iedereen. Het thema van de 9de editie is “Smile Together", samen lachen en genieten, met de wens om elkaar de grootste glimlach te geven. Na de lange coronatijd zijn wij er zeker aan toe, en voor het eerst in lange tijd komen er ook weer twee optredens uit Japan. Senju neemt de bezoekers mee naar de wereld van de traditionele Japanse danscultuur met onder andere de leeuwendans. Er zullen ook zwaarden gaan klinken en vonken: Katanayaichi verandert het podium in een adembenemend toneel van zwaardvechtkunst. Op het podium zullen eveneens optredens zijn van traditionele shamisen (snaarinstrument) en taiko (trommel), dit jaar voor het eerst ook de enka, een genre van populaire volksmuziek. Ook komt er een DJ booth waar de Japanse DJ Ozzy zijn eigen mix gaat draaien.

Het grafische thema van het Japan Festival is dit jaar een tekening van kinderen met een stralende glimlach, hand in hand, geselecteerd uit de vele prachtige tekeningen die ingezonden waren voor de tekenwedstrijd. Met workshops, optredens, spellen en nog veel meer, voor jong en oud, is het Japan Festival een inclusief evenement waar verschillende nationaliteiten en generaties bij elkaar komen. The theme of the 9th edition of the Japan Festival is Smile Together
It is the opportunity to enjoy Japanese specialties and workshops for young and old, as well as modern and traditional performances on the open-air stage throughout the festival.

Smile for and with everyone. The theme of the 9th edition is "Smile Together", laughing and enjoying together, with the desire to give each other the biggest smile. After the long corona time, we are certainly ready, and for the first time in a long time there will be two performances from Japan. Senju takes visitors to the world of traditional Japanese dance culture, including the lion dance. Swords will also sound and sparks: Katanayaichi transforms the stage into a breathtaking scene of swordsmanship. of traditional shamisen (string instrument) and taiko (drum), this year for the first time also the enka, a genre of popular folk music.There will also be a DJ booth where Japanese DJ Ozzy will play his own mix.

The graphic theme of the Japan Festival this year is a drawing of children with a radiant smile, holding hands, selected from the many beautiful drawings submitted to the drawing competition.
